What if you could write a new script for your life?
Life is finite and precious. To have the beautiful life that is yours, you have to take a step into the unknown. You have to be willing to let go of old beliefs that don't fit you anymore and try on new ones that really serve you.
You can summon up the courage to be and have more, often more than you ever imagined, or you can keep thinking the same thoughts, believing the same beliefs, and acting in the same way that got you stuck in the first place.
It's scary to dream because, deep down, we fear we might not make it and we don't want to face disappointment. Even good change involves loss; the loss of the familiar and sometimes even the loss of an old identity that no longer fits. With the right support and guidance, you can overcome resistance and start to make the changes that will get you what you want.
How my work is different
Traditional life coaches work with a standard set of tools, they take courses on how to use these tools and they become certified. There will be worksheets and exercises but the changes will be predictable and mostly entirely within the scope of your current experience. For a lot of people, working with this kind of coach is the right approach because they want to reach a certain goal and this kind of coach can help with that by providing standard tools and accountability.
Traditional psychotherapy gets people from dysfunction to ground zero. If you have significant mental health issues that is where you should start. I help people get from ground zero to creating the thrilling life of their dreams.
If, on the other hand, you are a person who's ready and willing to make a powerful shift into a new way of thinking about and living your life, I am here to help.
Instead of worksheets, I offer insight and a specialized set of tools I have developed over time to help people move beyond the stories and behaviors that are keeping them stuck and freeing them to explore moving into an exhilarating life they often never imagined they could have. Often people come to me with what they think the "problem" is

Here is what others have to say:
After I sold my business, I retired and immediately took on full-time responsibilities at the Oregon Symphony.
Darcy asked me what I did for myself. No one ever asked me that before.
She asked me to consider the possibility that I could value my happiness and personal satisfaction as highly as my contribution. At first, I resisted the idea but Darcy gently persevered, and bit by bit I began to embrace it.
Now I have a year's worth of travel planned, read for pleasure, and regularly enjoy the company of friends. I’ve kept the obligations that matter most to me to create room for the balance I want and need.
I could never have imagined the life I have now before I worked with Darcy.
Most people come to Darcy to get unstuck and with me, it was no different except that in my case I was stuck on an interior design problem.
I had this apartment overlooking the bay in San Francisco that I loved and it was almost done. I spent a year realizing my vision for the space. One key piece eluded me. The search for a sofa became obsessive. It was such a bummer to have this beautiful place come together, all white and chrome just as I envisioned it, and to still have to look at the ratty tan sofa I bought on Amazon years ago. It was an eyesore and I felt depressed every time I looked at it. Still, I couldn’t find the right sofa. I hired an interior designer but though she was competent, she just didn’t get my vision.
Finally, in desperation, I reached out to Darcy. Her solution was so unexpected and so perfect I literally gasped out loud. Instead of a sofa, I got two white leather Eames lounge chairs with ottomans.
Even though our taste is completely different, she somehow knew exactly what would work - more than work - really pop. I love to have a friend come over to watch movies and play video games and this way we can each have our own seating. Every time I look out the window across the bay my eyes sweep past the two Eames chairs on the fluffy cream rug and I feel happy.
The thing about Darcy is that she can just look at a situation and know what needs to happen. I don't know how she does it but she has an uncanny ability to know just what to do no matter where you're stuck.
When I first came to Darcy I was facing the imminent loss of my business and a personal financial crisis. All I could think about were disaster scenarios. I was filled with dread and so anxious I could barely eat.
Darcy helped me see that I needed to turn my focus toward what I wanted instead of what I didn't want, from fear to confidence. She showed me my power and helped me claim it.
I grabbed the reins of my business with my newfound power and totally restructured it to "make it how I want it." Within a year we went from the verge of bankruptcy to winning national awards and having more business than we've ever had.
One of Darcy's favorite sayings is "make it how you want it." For me, that means recognizing that there isn't anything stopping me from having what I want except my own mindset.
If you're ready to make a change get in touch. We'll first have a complimentary 15-minute session to see if we're going to be a good fit. Then, if we both agree, we'll get started.
Results depend on a number of factors and I cannot promise that you will have the same results as other people I have worked with, but I can say that many people have been able to make some pretty thrilling life changes working with me. If you would like to see if coaching with me is right for you, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to working with you.
